CLEANSE ME CLAY SIMPLIFIED.

  • Glaciers melt creating rivers and streams. With this movement, eroded minerals and elements are suspended and make their way down rivers and streams to the ocean. The minerals are energised through the process of hydrolysis which creates a negative electric charge.

  • Particles are placed into inlets. Most of these fine particles will be deposited into the inlets and along the shorelines.

  • Settled and harvested. Once settled, the particles become very dense and a hard-packed layer is harvested in shallower water during low tide.

How does clay benefit skin?

Our cleansing clay is a gentle face mask treatment that is detoxifying and rejuvenating and will leave your skin feeling calm and smooth. It contains negative ions that bond to positively charged bacteria, contaminants, and toxins in skin. 

That may sound confusing so let me simplify it… think of how opposites attract or imagine two opposite magnets (north + south) and how they cling together. This is how our clay acts when applied to skin. It pulls out bacteria. The clay is made up of micro size particles that are able to penetrate deep layers of the skin and pull moisture to the surface all while completing a deep cleanse. It’s soothing, and calming for cleansing blemishes, breakouts, and acne prone skin as well as adding hydration to dry skin. It is also enriched with marine phytoplankton, miniscule free floating marine plants, that obtain vitamins and minerals beneficial for healthy glowing skin. It’s safe for all skin types and can be used on the most sensitive skin. More importantly it is 100% glacial marine clay without any fillers, additives or yuckiness making it one of our favs!

Other uses

  • Have a clay mask sitting on your shelf that you don’t love? Spruce it up by adding a tablespoon of the Cleanse Me Clay to bring it back to life! 

  • Make a clay scalp mask by adding a teaspoon to your shampoo application, allow it to sit on your scalp for 10-15 mins. 

  • Want a more purifying cleanse? After you wash your face, sprinkle some clay in the palm of your hand with a few drops of water and massage in an upward circular motion.

Note: Clay does not have a long shelf life once it comes in contact with water. Mix all masks fresh and discard any remaining wet ingredients when finished. Happy face masking!

HYDRATE ME HYDROSOL SIMPLIFIED.

Our lavender flower water comes from Lavandula angustifolia plants grown, harvested, dried, and distilled in small batches from a local farm in British Columbia. The flower water is hydrating and soothing to the skin. 

How does this hydrosol benefit skin? 

Just as its name implies, hydrosol is intensely hydrating! We combine two different forms of hyaluronic acid to not only penetrate and plump your skin but also lock in all that moisture. 

What is sodium hyaluronate/hyaluronic acid and why is it so beneficial?

Sodium hyaluronate is a water-soluble form of hyaluronic acid (HA). HA is a polysaccharide that occurs naturally in the human body and works to support collagen production and skin elasticity. As we age our hyaluronic acid content diminishes. 

HA has a natural capacity for holding water that is one thousand times its weight, making it an excellent hydrating agent. It revitalizes mature skin by smoothing the appearance of wrinkles and improving skin texture. It is gentle enough for nearly all skin types including acne-prone and sensitive skin. Our combined HA is vegan, 100% natural, and non-GMO.

Hyaluronic acid can be found in various molecular sizes and weights, each demonstrating a different benefit.

Our Low Molecular Weight (LMW) Hyaluronic Acid contains smaller molecules. This allows the product to penetrate deep into your pores, promoting a tighter plumper appearance. It does wonders when used long term!

Our High Molecular Weight (HMW) Hyaluronic Acid contains larger molecules. Because of the large size, a protective film is formed on the skin's surface. Essentially, it acts as a humectant and glues water molecules onto the surface of the skin, reducing moisture retention, giving your face instant hydration.

A mixture of both LMW and HMW hyaluronic acid combines the benefits of fast-acting deep penetration with greater moisture retention. The best of both worlds!

SOOTHE ME SERUM SIMPLIFIED. 

Our serum is a blend of three non-comedogenic (non-pore clogging) organic oils (sunflower, camellia and rosehip) with a natural source of squalane. It nourishes and oxygenates skin while cleansing and plumping and reduces redness and the appearance of fine lines while keeping skin moisturized and hydrated. It is gentle and can be used on the most sensitive skin. It feels moisturizing and light and has a beautiful light rose scent from our rose essential oil.
